Shannon is a California native, raised in the central part of the state. She moved to Southern Ca in the 80′s for college (The Fashion Institute for merchandise/marketing), went back to the Central Coast for Cosmetology school then moved to San Francisco 20 years ago.

At FLiP, Shannon is delighted to fuse her focus on customers with artistry nurtured as a stylist in Union Square and through training with Sassoon, Bumble and bumble, Aveda and Toni & Guy. “I believe in putting the client first”, she says. “The best haircut happens when you combine listening with experience.” Drawing on her classic training and creative touch, Shannon ensures that each client leaves with a style uniquely suited to his or her face, mood, and personality.

As the buzz about FLiP grows, so does Shannon’s renown as a highlight specialist. Her signature look, “Sunkissed Marina Blonde”, is a subtle confection of highlights and lowlights that blend to create a hue as natural as a day on the beach.

Seeing my family, new magazines, when a new season of an HBO or Showtime series comes out on DVD.
